Configuring Your Client

Depending upon which type of hosting account you have with Univox Internet you will have between one to twelve POP3 email boxes. There are several email clients with which you can use to send and receive email, the three most popular being covered below.

Eudora

Within Eudora, Choose "Tools" and then Choose "Options".

  1. Within the Tool Bar on the left side of the box, choose "Getting Started"
  2. Enter the POP3 address - mail.univox.com
  3. Enter your Real Name, example John Doe
  4. Enter your Return Address, example username@univox.com. If you are hosting a top level domain with Univox and want to use your domain alias as your return address you can do that also.

After completing the first section choose "Hosts" within the Tool Bar.

  1. Verify that the POP Account information is correct.
  2. Enter the SMTP mail server of your dialup account 'smtp.YOUR-ISP.com'.

If you have multiple accounts within the same domain name, you may use this feature to download the mail as that user. All that is needed is the basic email account information and to save the information within Eudora.
